Elizabethtown Community and Technical College has singed a joint admission’s agreement with WKU, according to a WKU press release.

A joint-admissions agreement allows students to be admitted to both their respective community college and WKU.

It is predicted that more than 300 ECTC students will transfer to WKU this academic year, according to the press release. In the past five years, more than 1,000 students have transferred from ECTC to WKU.

This is the sixth joint admissions agreement between WKU and a Kentucky community college and the third in 2011. All of the community colleges are apart of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System.

In October, WKU announced that student enrollment had passed more than 21,000 students.
