Senior forward Mallory Outerbridge was honored Sunday by WKU after breaking another record. Tuesday, the Sun Belt Conference recognized Outerbridge yet again, naming her the Sun Belt Player of the Week for the second time this season.

She was also named to the preseason all-Sun Belt team earlier this year.

Earlier in the year, Outerbridge broke the career points record at WKU. After her three-goal performance this weekend, she now holds the all-time goals record with 35 overall.

The record-breaking goal came in the 61st minute of Friday night’s game against Arkansas-Little Rock.

Outerbridge leads the Sun Belt in goals with 10, already matching her total from last season. She’s also tied for the conference lead in points with 23.

Nationally, Outerbridge is one of 25 players to reach double-digit goals this season and is ranked 23rd in total points.

WKU is now 7-5 on the season and 2-2 in the Sun Belt. The Lady Toppers also received a No. 10 ranking in this week’s NSCAA South Regional Rankings.

Outerbridge and WKU will be back in action against Florida International at 6 p.m. Friday and then against Florida Atlantic at 1 p.m. Saturday. Both games will be at the WKU Soccer Complex.
