After a week in which the Lady Toppers dropped a match against Cincinnati before notching two Sun Belt victories on the road, WKU is receiving attention in two prominent national polls.

The Lady Toppers are ranked No. 28 in the latest RPI poll and are tied with Duke for No. 31 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll.

WKU (23-3, 10-1 Sun Belt Conference) is the highest-ranked Sun Belt team in both polls, though the Lady Toppers fell five spots in the RPI poll this week.

Two teams that have beaten WKU, Kentucky and Cincinnati, are ranked higher in the RPI at No. 15 and No. 22, respectively. Middle Tennessee State, the Lady Toppers’ only other loss, is ranked No. 53.

WKU will be in action next over the weekend at home, when they take on Denver and North Texas. The two matches are the last matches at Diddle on the Lady Toppers’ schedule.

Head Coach Travis Hudson will be going for his 400th career win this weekend. He has put together a 399-175 record over his 17-year career at WKU.
