WKU SGA updated on DUC renovations, upcoming events

The following took place at the Student Government Association senate meeting Tuesday night:

•    Jeff Stivers, an architect working on the DUC renovations, gave a presentation about the renovations and the process of the renovations. He then opened the floor for questions.

•    SGA discussed upcoming events such as Hilltopper Hysteria which is this Friday at 6 p.m. and the SGA retreat which is Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2p.m. Another upcoming event is the SGA-sponsored volleyball match on Oct. 28.

•    Work is continuing on Provide-A-Ride, transcript vouchers, Tops Vote T-shirts, a DUC name change, and another housing provider has been added to the off-campus housing website.

•    SGA passed bills regarding funding for the RAGE dance marathon that will take place in February, Study Away Scholarships, funding for the 2011 Campaign Tech Conference, and funding for SGA-branded croakies to be provided at the football tailgate on Oct. 22.

•    Tonight was the first read for a bill about funding for The Hilltopper Officials Association (H.O.A.) Club.
