Parents, family weekend to take place in September

WKU on Wednesday announced that the annual Parent and

Family Weekend will take place Sept. 16-17, coinciding with the WKU

vs. Indiana State football game on Sept. 17.

The weekend kicks off Friday evening at 5:30 p.m.

with family check-in on the third floor of Downing University

Center. Check in will continue from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at

DUC and the Parents’ Association Tent that will be on South

Lawn.

Also on Saturday, activities include a mock

classroom, student presentation and residence hall receptions,

followed by the President’s Festival from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in

front of the Preston Center. There will be food available and the

WKU Steel Drum Band will perform. 

Reservations and tickets are required for students

and parents, and will cost $5 per person.

The football game is set to kick off at 6 p.m. at

Smith Stadium.

Tickets for the game cost $6 at registration for

family members, but students get in free with their WKU ID.
