Former WKU star Kerusch joins Greek team

Former WKU basketball star Sergio Kerusch has found a new home overseas.

The 6-foot-5 forward signed with Aris Basketball Club based out of Thessaloniki, Greece on a three-year contract.

The team has won the Greek Championships 10 times and the FIBA Europe Cup once.

Kerusch played three seasons at WKU, averaging 13.5 points per game, 7.5 rebounds per game and boasted a career shooting percentage of 46.3 percent.

He averaged 15.6 points per game and 7.9 rebounds per game in his senior season en route to being named to the all-Sun Belt team last season. This came after being named the preseason conference player of the year for the 2010-2011 season.

He was a member of WKU’s NCAA Tournament team in 2009 as a sophomore.
