Memorial for WKU faculty member to take place Friday

Memorial services for Lisa Murrell, assistant to the dean in the Office of Graduate Studies and Research, will take place Friday after Murrell lost her battle with cancer.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. with a memorial service beginning at 2 p.m. at Broadway United Methodist Church in Bowling Green. Arrangements were made by Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home.
A scholarship fund has been created in honor of Murrell, a WKU alumnus, at the request of her family, according to an e-mail from William Skaggs, director of Annual Giving.
