WKU’s media relations office confirmed Tuesday that the Toppers’ men’s basketball series with Louisville has been extended.

The new deal begins in Nashville during the 2012-2013 season and will last through the 2015-2016 season.

The final game of the teams’ current deal is Dec. 23 at the KFC Yum! Center.

The extension will follow the same format as the original deal, starting first with a game in Nashville.

For the 2013-2014 season, the two will play at the KFC Yum! Center, then return to Diddle Arena in the 2014-2015 season. The final game of the extension will be in Louisville during the 2015-2016 season.
