Gordon Emslie, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs, announced in an email on Monday two finalists for the position of vice president for Enrollment Management.

Brian Meredith, director of the office of admissions at the University of Memphis, and Lee Young, vice provost for Enrollment Management and Student Services at Nevada State College, have been chosen as finalists for the position.

The search and screening committee, chaired by Bob Owen, vice president for Information Technology, and Richard Miller, vice provost, selected the candidates, who will visit campus and interview May 16-18.

Open forums will also be held in conjunction with the visits.

Meredith will meet with student representatives at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Downing University Center Room 226. He’ll meet with faculty and staff at 9:30 a.m. May 17 in Mass Media and Technology Hall auditorium.

Young’s forum with students will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in DUC 226. His meeting with faculty and staff will be at 9:30 a.m. May 18 in Wetherby Administration Building Room 239.

WKU originally announced finalists for the position in February but in March re-opened the search seeking more qualified candidates.

“This is not a terribly unusual thing,” Owen said in March.
