UPDATED: Police searching for tall, white male in open investigation

UPDATED 3:15 P.M. MONDAY: Joe Harbaugh, captain of professional standards for campus police, said the man police are searching for in an ongoing, open investigation is not a criminal suspect. Harbaugh said he simply may have information regarding the investigation.

ORIGINAL: Campus police are asking students for help in identifying and finding a suspect last seen on South Campus. A police spokesperson declined to identify what kind of investigation the suspect is a part of.
The suspect was described as a tall, white male last seen wearing a gray American Eagle sweatshirt, khakis, a white baseball cap and white tennis shoes. Stephanie Hooker, Commonwealth School administrative assistant, emailed the information to WKU faculty on Friday.
Hooker said she is assisting Corporal Johnny Vance with the search and urged anyone with information to call campus police at 745-2548.
