SGA Notes: Jessie appoints Scisney as new Chief Justice

At tonight’s Student Government Association meeting:

-An appointment was made by President Colton Jessie to replace former Chief Justice Dajana Crockett, who resigned last week from her position. The senate approved Jessie’s appointment to make Art Scisney the new Chief Justice. Aaron Pawley and Chris Jankowski were also appointed as Associate Justices.

-Two bills were approved that saw a total of $900 awarded to seven students for scholar development grants. This was the last scholar development grant bill of the year.

-The senate also approved a bill that allocates $500 to the Honors 300 May course, which is a class where students will experience the culture of New York City firsthand.

-Another bill was approved that will allocate $500 to purchase 20 nursing test prep books to be donated to the Raymond Cravens Library.

-The funding for the CLEP reimbursement program was approved. The first 40 students who come to the SGA office with proof they passed a CLEP exam will be reimbursed $20.
