Weather for Thursday, Jan. 20: 100 percent chance of snow

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory predicting two-to-four inches of snow for south-central Kentucky on Thursday.

Light snow will fall throughout the late morning before it intensifies during the afternoon and tapers off by midnight, according to the NWS.

Although temperatures should jump above freezing throughout the day (high is 37 degrees), snow will stick to roads and hamper visibility, according to the advisory, which is in effect until 1 a.m. CT Friday.

No more snow is in the weekend forecast.
