Dine with Decision Makers one week away

At tonight’s Student Government Association meeting:

-Gordon Baylis, vice president for Research, spoke to the senate about the teaching mission of WKU.

-Executive Vice President Kendrick Bryan said 14 officials have confirmed their attendance for Dine with Decision Makers next week. He said that 40 students have signed up for the event and the deadline to RSVP is tonight at 7 p.m. The event will take place next Tuesday at 6 p.m.

-Billy Stephens, director of academic and student affairs, said he and President Colton Jessie have been interviewing candidates for the Hall of Distinguished Seniors. The winners will be announced Friday on the SGA website.

-A $2,000 organizational aid bill was approved by the senate that will give $500 to four organizations.

-The senate also approved a bill that will give $600 to Helm-Cravens Library to keep it open until 2 a.m. during finals week.
