Follow the Herald’s coverage from victory headquarters all night long, from the time the first polls close until the winner is officially declared and everything in between.

9:16 P.M. From Shane Noem, Wilson’s campaign manager: “Wilson is really looking forward to getting to work… This is a conservative district. We now have a conservative representative.”

8:47 P.M. Melanie Lord, whose daughter goes to school with Wilson’s daughter, said the win was a “really positive thing for our future.”

8:28 P.M. Wilson’s opponent, Mike Reynolds, has called him to concede. The Kentucky State Election Board still hasn’t reported results for the race.

7:26 P.M. The election party Mike Wilson, a candidate in the race for the state senate 32nd District seat, is at the Sloan Convention Center on Wilkinson Road, where U.S. Senate candidate Rand Paul’s election party is.

Local Christian Family Radio DJ Susan Woodard said she supports Wilson.

“I know that he would be without a doubt the best,” she said. Woodard said Wilson had sent her a text message saying he would arrive at the party soon.
