Nightclub to replace The Brew Co.

Michael and Anna Ochoa’s new Cabana Nightclub will open Wednesday, just in time for Thanksgiving.

The club is located in Fountain Square at 423 Park Row. The building is the former location of The Brewing Company.

Brew Co., formerly owned by Craig Eversoll, closed last April after its state liquor license expired on April 30, 2010.

David Ranshaw, the club’s manager, said the club has two stories with two dance floors and three bars.

He said the current menu includes pizza, chicken wings, french fries and other “finger foods.”

Ranshaw said the club is designed to accommodate different crowds, with hip-hop style music downstairs and a lounge setting upstairs.

Opening night will feature local band Thr3e upstairs and DJ Tally downstairs, he said.

The Bowling Green Hot Rods’ mascot, Axle, will also be there to hand out free goodies, Ranshaw said.

The club will be open from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. on the opening night, Michael Ochoa said.

He said the club’s regular hours are still to be determined.

Ages 21 and up are admitted, Ranshaw said.

He said they have many plans for the club in the future.

“We are going to have comedians, open mics, laser shows and a lot of other cool things,” Ranshaw said.

Michael Ochoa filed for a city liquor license on Oct. 14. The license was granted on Nov. 10, said Jennifer Phillips, occupational license inspector for the Warren County Clerk’s Office.
