Local fans will have a chance to see rock-country veteran Webb Wilder perform in Bowling Green this weekend.

Wilder will be performing on Saturday night at the Capitol Arts Center in Webb Fest V, a concert that will celebrate Wilder’s history in music.

The concert will be at 7 p.m.

“We’re all really excited he chose to perform in Bowling Green again this year,” said WKU graduate Ashley Gentry, who is a box office associate at the center.

Tickets can be purchased on the center’s website or at the box office, which is open weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

This is the fifth year for the festival, though this will be its second year at the Capitol Arts Center, said Karen Hume, executive director of the center.

“Last year they really fell in love with the place, so they wanted to come here again,” she said.

Hume said she expects a good turnout at the concert.

“Last year we sold out,” she said.

Funds raised from the event will benefit Wilder and Capitol Arts, Gentry said.
