Connectivity to Internet networks, voice and cable television has been affected in several areas of campus due to an underground fiber optics cable that has been cut, according to an e-mail sent this afternoon by Edwin Craft, director of Communications Technology.

Affected areas include Cravens Library, Helm Library, Fine Arts Center and the Industrial Education building, according to the e-mail.

Workers are trying to solve the problem, and a temporary fix is expected to be in place by 7 p.m. tonight, according to the e-mail.
