Pumpkin festival begins Saturday

Festival at Jackson’s Orchard starts this

Saturday.

will be five weekends long and admission is free, said Orchard

Manager Cathy Otis.

will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

festival, patrons can take a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch on

bales of hay a for $3.

at the patch, visitors have time to search the field for a pumpkin

of their choice.

traditional orange “Cinderella” pumpkin, Jackson’s offers about six

other different types, including the white “Cinderella,” red warty,

old-fashioned, pie, Little Munchkin and Cumshaw, she

said.

available at the price of three for a

Joy Ford, said she enjoys drawing on pumpkins instead of carving

pumpkins are available for sale this

pumpkin picking, Jackson’s also has a corn maze and a goat

ranch.

grassy areas and a pavilion are available for all patrons to relax

and enjoy a meal from concessions.

are $1 for a small and $1.50 for a large.

her favorite treat at Jackson’s is a cider

consists of a cider slushie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream at
