The WKU women’s soccer team on Friday wrapped up its first road trip of the season with a scoreless tie against Ole Miss, the team’s second Southeastern Conference opponent in as many games, in Oxford, Miss.

While the Lady Toppers (0-1-1) were outshot by the Rebels (1-0-1) 14-10 in the double overtime match, Ole Miss was unable to capitalize.

The Rebels’ best chance to score came shortly after halftime as senior midfielder Taylor Cunningham had a shot at the far post, but junior goalkeeper Libby Stout made a diving save.

The only other time the two teams played was a 2-1 victory in overtime for WKU in Bowling Green.

WKU’s next game is its home opener at 1 p.m. Sunday against Minnesota at the WKU Soccer Complex.
