Youth Relay for Life Dec. 2 at DUC

American Cancer Society will hold its kickoff session for the third annual Youth Relay for Life on Dec. 2 at Downing University Center, Room 308.

The fundraiser, which is the ACS’s signature event and the largest in the nation, will be held April 16 and 17 on Western’s campus.

Benefit drive underway

The Latin American Student Association and Office of International Programs is collecting for a Colombian refugee family, who recently arrived in Bowling Green.

The family of 11, eight of them children, has lost everything, including the father of six of the children, who was killed in front of his family.

They are in need of food, winter clothing, bedding, furniture and toys.

Donations can be dropped off at the International Center on Normal Drive from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday until Dec. 18.
