Instruments stolen

Students with stolen instruments won’t be tooting their own horn after this past weekend.

Two french horns and a violin were reported stolen this week from lockers on the third floor of the fine arts center.

Fifteen locks were reported cut off of lockers on the third floor. The first reports came Sunday.

Elizabeth Nicole Smith, Park Street, had $4,794 in property stolen, including a horn, from a locker she shared with another student. Rockfield sophomore Corey Jordan Bryson had $3,052 in property stolen from his locker.

Nicholasville freshman Katherine Hale had $990 in property, including the violin, stolen.

All three lockers were locked.

Police do not have a specific time when the thefts happened.

Campus police Maj. Jerry Phelps said there are no suspects at this time.
