Archives Week

The Kentucky Library is celebrating Archives Week in Kentucky next week by displaying its war letters collection.

The museum will exhibit its letters from the Civil War on Oct. 6. Letters from World War II will be shown on Oct. 8, and letters from the Korean, Vietnam and Desert Storm wars will be shown on Oct. 13. The events start at 7 p.m. each night and are free.

Book Fair

The Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity will hold a book drive starting Oct. 6 to collect books for the Southern Kentucky Book Fest.

Books can be dropped off at their fraternity house at 1586 Normal Drive through Oct. 31.

The books will be donated to Bowling Green reading programs or sold at the Famous Barr used book sale in February.

Fall Break Brunch

The Fall Break Brunch will begin at 9 a.m. on Thursday. The brunch provides an opportunity for staff to dress casually and socialize.

The 2003 Staff Excellence awards will be given out at the brunch. Awards are given for administrative support, building services attendant, skilled-technical-paraprofessional and professional non-faculty. Winners get $300 and a plaque.
