CAB sponsoring Tuesday night movies

Thanks to the Campus Activities Board, students can see modern movie classics without dipping into the residual check.

CAB sponsors movie nights every Tuesday at 8 p.m. on the fourth floor of Downing University Center.

Bennie Beach, coordinator of student activities and CAB sponsor, said the program was started to give students something interesting to do.

Beach makes the movie selections, but claims to show no preference to any particular genre.

“We play old films, horrors, classics – you name it,” Beach said.

The movies are shown on the wide screen TV, and usually rally a crowd of 25 to 50 people on any given Tuesday night. The first movie, “Gangs of New York,” is scheduled for tonight.
