Trouble in Poland

Sept. 7, 2002 – Two cases of first degree robbery were reported in Poland Hall. The first came in to campus police at 11 a.m. Less than 12 hours later, another robbery was reported.

Sept. 25, 2002 – Assault reported in Poland. A person reported being struck from behind by another individual.

Oct. 1, 2002 – First degree arson reported in Poland after burn marks were discovered on a wall of the sixth floor hallway where posters had been set on fire.

Oct. 1, 2002 – Second degree criminal mischief reported in Poland lot. A 1999 Ford Taurus was found with $530 in damage to the passenger side door window.

Oct. 1, 2002 – First degree arson reported in Poland for the second time in a day after a poster was set on fire outside an eighth floor elevator. The fire caused $100 in damage.

Oct. 17, 2002 – Theft over $300 reported in Poland lot after a pizza delivery vehicle was taken. The vehicle was eventually recovered.

Nov. 2, 2002 – First degree arson reported in Poland.

Nov. 2, 2002 – Criminal mischief reported in Poland after eight ceiling tiles were found broken.

Nov. 16, 2002 – Fourth degree assault reported in Poland. The incident was listed by campus police as a case of domestic violence.

Dec. 12, 2002 – Terroristic threatening reported in Poland after an individual phoned the dorm’s front desk and said there was a bomb in the men’s restroom.

Jan. 24, 2003 – Terroristic threatening reported in Poland.

Feb. 28, 2003 – Burglary reported in Poland after an XBox, XBox games and DVDs were stolen from a dorm room.

May 2, 2003 – Third degree criminal mischief reported in Poland after an individual knocked tiles from the ceiling.

May 2, 2003 – Third degree criminal mischief reported in Poland for the second time that day after a stall door in the eighth floor bathroom was found torn from the hinges. Damage totaled $200.
