The annual Crimson and Cream Valentine Ball is just around the corner.

The dance, hosted by Delta Sigma Theta sorority, will take place from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m Saturday at Ellis Place.

Students are encouraged to “dress to impress.”

Louisville senior and member of the Deltas Candice Johnson is in charge of organizing the dance.

Johnson said the ball is “prom, college-style.”

“It’s always fun to see people dressed up instead of in their school clothes,” she said.

This “sophisticated event” has had a good turn-out in the past, drawing in two to three hundred people, Johnson said.

“It’s just something different,” she said. “You get an opportunity to put on your best clothes and kind of show off.”

Advanced tickets are $12 for singles and $22 for couples. They can be purchased at 10 p.m. at Delta Night at Nite Class and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Downing University Center lobby tomorrow.

At the door, tickets will cost $20 for singles and $30 for couples.
