All events scheduled today and tomorrow featuring the Rev. Al Sharpton have been canceled due to a scheduling conflict.

Government Department Head Saundra Ardrey, the organizer of the events, spoke to workers in Sharpton’s office yesterday who explained that Sharpton had a prior engagement in Washington this morning.

Sharpton’s visit has yet to be rescheduled.

Ardrey said Sharpton was trying to arrange a flight to Bowling Green later tonight, but she hasn’t received any confirmation.

Ardrey said she hopes to reschedule Sharpton’s visit, but doesn’t have a specific time frame in mind.
