UW players at City of Hope National Medical Center

CRAIG SCHREINER

(Published on 12/29/1999) University of Wisconsin quarterback Brooks Bollinger jokes with Eric Mendoza, 10, of San Pedro, Calif., as he hands out autographed footballs, T-shirts and caps Tuesday at City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte, Calif., northeast of Los Angeles. Players from Wisconsin and Rose Bowl opponents Stanford visited patients of the hospital. Eric’s brother, Jorge (behind Eric), is a patient there. Other Badgers in attendance were John Favret, Mike Echols, Vitaly Pisetsky, Ryan Simmons and assistant coach Joe Baker.
