WKU in 10th, Barrett one shot behind top ten after second day at USA Intercollegiate

WKU freshman Faith Martin sits in 49th place after two days of competition at the USA Intercollegiate.

The WKU Women’s Golf program finished the second day of action at the USA Intercollegiate in Mobile, Alabama in 10th place, shooting a total 14-over 302.

Senior Kenlie Barrett shot an even par on Sunday at the par-72, 6,002-yard RTJ Magnolia Grove – Crossings Course and sit in 11th, one shot behind a top-ten finish with another day of play remaining.

Fifth year Olivia Reed shot a 4-under 68, WKU’s best result of the day, and jumped 52 spots on the leaderboard to 16th in individual play after a round that included a quartet of birdies.

Junior Sarah Arnold turned in a 4-over 76, as did Freshman Catie Craig. Freshman Faith Martin continues to impress and is tied for 49th after shooting a 6-over 78. Sophomore Rachel Rich, Craig and Arnold are all tied in 62nd place.

Also of note, Sophomore Addie Westbrook turned in the best result of her collegiate career shooting a 1-over 73. She is currently tied for 34th.

The final 18 holes of the USA Intercollegiate are set to be played Monday morning.
