Around 7:00 p.m. BGPD received a call of shots fired in the parking lot of a gas station at the corner of Nashville Road and Emmett Avenue.

When the officers arrived on the scene, they discovered Terrance R. Barton, 20, in the driver’s seat of a white car. The officers removed Barton and attempted lifesaving measures.

Barton was taken to the hospital where he died from multiple gunshot wounds.

The BGPD officers were told a man was running from the scene. After a search of the area, officers found Kamonte Grissom, 19, who matched the description given by witnesses at the scene.
