WKU quarterback Bailey Zappe (4) went 46-of-64 for 488 yards and three touchdowns but the Hilltoppers fell to No. 17 Michigan State 48-31 on Oct. 2, 2021 in East Lansing, Michigan.

WKU graduate quarterback Bailey Zappe and senior defensive end DeAngelo Malone competed for the American Team in the 2022 Reese’s Senior Bowl on Saturday.

Both players stood out in the contest. Zappe threw for a game-high of 103 yards while completing a game-high of eight passes. 

Malone led the American Team with six tackles, two quarterback hurries and half a sack. 

Both Zappe and Malone will showcase their skill set again at the NFL Combine from March 1-7. The pair hope to hear their names called in Las Vegas at the 2022 NFL Draft on April 28-30.
