As the semester is nearing the end, the Intercultural Student Engagement Center is hosting a day of service where the WKU community can donate their unneeded food items.

The donations will be contributed to the WKU Food Pantry, located in the Office of Sustainability in the Downing Student Union.

Items needed for the drive include Goldfish, boxed crackers, dry nuts, boxed juice, pre-cooked rice, boxed macaroni, condiments, shelf stable proteins and toiletries.

Donations can be brought to the first floor of DSU where ISEC will be tabling on Tuesday, April 19 and Thursday, April 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations can also be brought directly to the Office of Sustainability.

“The Office of Sustainability offers non-perishable food and toiletries to all WKU students, faculty and staff. We also welcome members of the community to utilize the pantry resource,” states the WKU website. “Pantry donations are greatly appreciated and can be made during office hours or by appointment.”

This event is an initiative to promote service in ISEC, Trenton Peyton, ISEC graduate assistant, said.

“It’s just a way for us to give back to the university and give back to the community,” Peyton said.
