WKU Athletics partners with West Sixth Brewing Company

WKU sports announced a new collaboration with West Sixth Brewing Company on Monday.

West Sixth Brewing, a popular Kentucky brewery based in Lexington, publicized the lager in partnership with Hilltoppers athletics. The company has been a staple in the state since its founding in 2012. West Sixth sells its products statewide and across the river in Cincinnati, Ohio. 

The beer will be labeled as the 1906 Lager, in celebration of the year the university was founded. It will be sold in stores around the region beginning on January 10th. 1906 Lager will also be sold in Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium during the upcoming football season.   

The lager is labeled as a crisp and light lager. 1906 has an alcohol content of 4.0% and will be sold year-round as the official beer of WKU athletics.
