The non-conference schedule for WKU’s Men’s Basketball team was released earlier today.
The Hilltoppers will open their season in Diddle against Kentucky Wesleyan College on November 6th. Following the home opener, the team hits the road to Wichita, Kansas to play the Shockers, their first and only taste of the AAC for the season.
WKU will play its only in-state road game against Murray State on November 14th in the CFSB Center.
After a week’s worth of rest for the squad, the Hilltoppers will head north of Quebec, Canada to take part in the 2023 Northern Classic. The three teams that WKU will face during their time in the Great White North have not been announced.
Back in Bowling Green, WKU will host Campbellsville and EKU to round out their November schedule against the Tigers and start December off against the Colonels.
WKU played their opening game of the 2022 season against the Eastern Kentucky Colonels, where the Tops edged out a victory, 66-60.
Following their stint home, WKU will go on the road to the Empire State to take on the University at Buffalo, before stopping in Dayton, Ohio on the way back to play Wright State.
The following game for the Toppers is a one-game home turnaround against Austin Peay, before heading west to Riverside, California to take on the Cal Baptist Lancers.
This marks the first time that the Hilltoppers will face Cal Baptist, a program that has just come off a season that earned them an invite to the CBI tournament.
Concluding the end of their non-conference play, WKU will host Abilene Christian at home on December 30th, their first last game of 2023.
WKU’s conference schedule was released in July.
