WKU Police sent a text to students at 5:28 on Friday, Sept. 15, stating that WKU Police were investigating a threat to Hugh Poland Hall.
The threat was potential shooting threat made to the 9th floor of Hugh Poland Hall on Snapchat. WKU Housing and WKU Police were alerted.
According to an email sent by WKU Police at 6:50 p.m., police responded to the threat and determined there was no active threat, and that students could return to their normal activities.
The email also encouraged students to be aware of their surroundings and to report any suspicious activity to the WKU Police.
