It’s a bird… It’s a plane… It’s Malachi Corley.
The star Hilltopper receiver took home three awards for his showing at Louisiana Tech on Saturday. Corley went for eight catches with 207 yards and tied a career high with three touchdowns.
For his outstanding performance against the Bulldogs, Corley earned Conference-USA offensive player of the week as well as national awards such as the Reese’s Senior Bowl Co-offensive player of the week and the East-West Shrine Bowl Offensive Player of the Week. In addition to these awards, Corley was also named to Pro Football Focus’s team of the week.
Saturday’s phenomenal performance against Louisiana Tech is the highlight of what has been a stellar season for Corley. Corley is second in receiving yards in the conference with 538 and first in receiving touchdowns with five.
Corley and the Hilltoppers will hope to pick up where they left off at Jacksonville State on Tuesday, Oct. 17 following this week’s bye.
