WKU Men’s Basketball took on Wright State Tuesday night at the Nutter Center in Fairborn, Ohio, where they defeated the Raiders 91-84.
This is the team’s fourth win in a row, moving them to 8-3 on the season.
It was another big game for junior guard Don McHenry, who had 30 points on 12-20 shooting, knocking down three three-pointers. He battled with Wright State senior guard Trey Calvin, who had 34 points for the Raiders.
Senior forward Tyrone Marshall Jr. added 20 points and seven rebounds. Senior guard Khristian Lander continued his consistent scoring with 15 points and six rebounds.
Overall, it was a big day for the Hilltopper offense, shooting 52% from the field and 38% from three. The steady shooting along with the 12 offensive rebounds helped them prevail on the road.
The WKU defense had another solid outing, forcing 14 Wright State turnovers and blocking four shots. However, the team found themselves in foul trouble all night, committing 24 fouls.
The game was close throughout, but a 51-point second half by WKU helped close out the game.
WKU will head back to E.A. Diddle Arena, where they will host the Austin Peay Governors on Saturday, Dec. 16 at 2p.m. CT.
