The WKU Faculty Senate met Thursday, Jan. 25 to propose academic policy revisions for International Experience.
The Colonnade/Gen Ed committee proposed two revisions, the first allowing eligible study-abroad courses to fulfill the International Experience category for Colonnade credit.
Eligible courses include those graded P/F or A-F, offered for at least three credit hours and not being counted elsewhere in Colonnade.
The second academic policy proposed would allow military deployments to fulfill the International Experience category for Colonnade for eligible students.
Undergraduate, degree-seeking military members and Veteran students who have served in a foreign country outside of the US for at least 90 days would be eligible to submit a request for credit.
The Senate unanimously approved both proposals. They will be sent to the provost for final approval and then to the registrar for final implementation.
Additionally, the Senate approved minutes from the Budget and Finance committee, the Graduate Council committee and the Graduate Curriculum committee’s recent meetings.Â
Faculty Senate will hold their next meeting on Thursday, Feb. 22.
