PCAL Dean’s Council of Students applications now open

The Potter College of Arts and Letters hosted their annual Fall Fest on Thursday, Oct. 19.

The Potter College of Arts and Letters Dean’s Council of Students applications are now open for the 2024-2025 school year. 

PCAL DCS “is a student-led service organization of passionate individuals majoring or minoring in one or more academic disciplines within the College,” according to the DCS website

Students are selected annually and are expected to serve through the academic year. Other expectations can be found on their website and include: maintaining a 3.0 GPA, attending weekly meetings on Thursdays at 5 p.m.., having a PCAL major, participating in mandatory events and more. 

“DCS members provide campus and facilities tours, participate in University-wide events, host PCAL-sponsored events, and collaborate with like-minded Registered Student Organizations,” according to the DCS website. “Activities range from volunteering in the Bowling Green community, guiding scholars/professionals around campus, answering questions from students during Head for the Hill, surveying the student experience within PCAL, and hosting our annual Fall Festival.”

Applications opened on Feb. 5 and will close on March 8. Applications can be found on the PCAL DCS website. A list of scheduled events that follow the due date of applications can also be found on the website.
