WKU Military Student Services and Counseling Center host ‘Therapeutic Art Night’

The WKU Counseling Center and the WKU Military Student Services hosted a “Therapeutic Art Night” Wednesday, April 17 to create a space where students and those with military connections had the opportunity to relax and relieve stress by creating art.

“A way that we can engage [military affiliated students] is through creativity and art,” Mariya Fye, WKU Counseling Center staff counselor said.

Fye expressed that although the art night is not a therapy session, it is a good way for participants to create connections and take care of themselves both mentally and emotionally.
