All WKU campuses will close today at noon following alerts issued by the National Weather Service for several rounds of potentially severe weather this afternoon and into the evening, according to an email sent to all faculty and staff this morning.
In addition to the university’s main campus in Bowling Green, WKU maintains five regional campuses in Elizabethtown, Fort Knox, Glasgow, Owensboro and Somerset.
Some essential personnel will be required to remain on campus to maintain infrastructure and operations, according to the email. These staff will be notified by their departments based on specific need.
