5:00 p.m.: The first polls have closed in Kentucky and Indiana. East coast polls close at 7:00 p.m. local time.
6:00 p.m.: Polls have closed on the east coast. Upon closing of polls, the Associated Press has called Kentucky and Indiana for Donald Trump. Vermont has been called for Kamala Harris.
6:30 p.m.: Polls have closed in North Carolina, Ohio and West Virginia. The Associated Press has called West Virginia for Donald Trump.
7:00 p.m.: Polls have closed in 17 states, including Pennsylvania, Florida and Tennessee.
AP has called Oklahoma, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and South Carolina for Trump.
AP has called Maryland, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts for Kamala Harris.
7:30 p.m.: Polls in Arkansas have closed. AP has declared Donald Trump the winner in that state.
AP has called New Jersey for Kamala Harris.
7:35 p.m.: Kamala Harris has been named the winner of Delaware by AP.
7:39 p.m.: Kamala Harris wins Illinois presidential race, per AP.
8:00 p.m.: 10 polls throughout the country close, including five states that contain different time zones.
With those closings AP shows a statewide vote and two electoral votes from Nebraska for Trump. AP also called North Dakota, South Dakota, Louisiana and Wyoming in Trumps favor.
AP calls New York for Harris.
8:10 p.m.: AP has called Ohio for Trump.
8:13 p.m.: Following AP’s call for Ohio, Texas is declared for Trump.
8:25 p.m.: AP declared Trump won one more electoral vote in Nebraska along with the 3rd Congressional District.
8:50 p.m.: AP declares Trump wins Missouri.
9:00 p.m.: Polls close in Nevada, Utah and Montana.
Trump is declared the winner of Utah and Montana by AP.
9:08 p.m.: AP calls Colorado for Harris.
9:18 p.m.: Votes are still being counted in all swing states.
9:23 p.m.: AP declares Harris the winner of the District of Columbia
9:40 p.m.: Trump wins Iowa and Kansas, declared by AP.
9:45 p.m.: AP calls the win for Kamala in the 1st Congressional District in Maine, adding one electoral vote.
10:00 p.m.: Polls in California and Washington close. Polls in Oregon and Idaho close with the exception of a few.
Following the poll closings, AP names Kamala the winner of both California and Washington. Trump wins Idaho.
10:18 p.m.: AP declares North Carolina for Trump.
10:23 p.m.: Kamala Harris wins Oregon, per AP.
10:33 p.m.: New Mexico is called for Harris.
10:42 p.m.: AP gives Virginia win to Harris.
11:00 p.m.: Polls in Hawaii close. Following the closing AP announced Harris wins Hawaii.
11:08 p.m.: AP announces Harris won the 2nd Congressional District of Nebraska, adding one electoral vote.
12:06 a.m.: AP announces a Trump victory in Georgia.
12:06 a.m.: According to AP, Trump wins the 1st Congressional District in Nebraska.
12:25 a.m.: AP announces a Harris victory in New Hampshire
1:18 a.m.: AP currently has Trump with 248 Electoral Votes and Harris with 214.
1:25 a.m.: AP announces that Trump has won Pennsylvania, giving him 267 of the needed 270 electoral votes.
1:28 a.m.: Trump gives presidential acceptance speech at Palm Beach Convention Center in Florida.
4:37 a.m.: AP declares Trump the winner of the 2024 presidential election after calling Wisconsin for Trump. He will become the second person in history to serve two non-consecutive terms as president of the United States.
