WKU Men’s Basketball will look to make it three wins in a row Wednesday, as they host the Jackson State Tigers at Diddle Arena.
After falling in their first two games against Wichita State and Grand Canyon, the Hilltoppers rebounded with back-to-back wins against Campbellsville and Lipscomb to get to 2-2 on the season.
Senior Don McHenry is leading the charge for the Hilltoppers through four games. The guard is averaging 18.3 points a contest on 47% shooting from the field and 37% from three. Senior forward Babacar Faye is right behind McHenry in points per game, averaging 16.5. Faye is almost at a double-double per game, averaging 8.5 rebounds through four games.
WKU is outsourcing teams 326-302 so far this season. The Hilltoppers are shooting 44% from the field and 35% from three.
The Tigers have started their season 0-4 with losses against Houston, High Point, Xavier and Vanderbilt. They have been outscored 365-249 this season
Jackson State’s offense is led by redshirt sophomore Jayme Mitchell Jr., who averages 15 points per game. Forward Romelle Mansel is the only other Tiger averaging double-digit points with 10.8 per game.
Tip-off for the Tigers and Hilltoppers is set for 7 p.m.
