WKU Volleyball is moving on to the Conference-USA championship game after a dominant sweep of Kennesaw State Saturday.
With the win, the Hilltoppers’ win streak moves to 23 games.
FIRST SET
The first set was never in doubt, as the Hilltoppers led the whole way, capping the set off with four straight points to take the win 25-17. Outside hitter Kaylee Cox led with four kills, and right-side hitter Kenadee Coyle added on with three.
SECOND SET
The Hilltoppers started off scorching in the second set, scoring the first six points. Kennesaw State fought back, getting back within one, but three kills from Kaylee Cox put the Owls away, and WKU took the set 25-13. Outside hitter Alivia Skidmore added three kills to her total, and freshman Faith Young contributed with two kills.
THIRD SET
The Hilltoppers again started hot, leading 5-1 early. After another run by Kennesaw State to get within two, the Hilltoppers dominated again late and took the set 25-14. Coyle took over with four kills, and it was a total team effort, with four Hilltoppers adding at least two kills.
Next up for the Hilltoppers is a date with UTEP on Sunday, Nov. 23. The first set is scheduled for noon.
