WKU men’s basketball team will end its three-game home stand against Louisiana Tech on Saturday night. The Hilltoppers have lost four in a row and sit at 5-8 in conference play.
The Hilltoppers are coming off a rough 78-62 loss to Sam Houston State, a game in which the Hilltoppers didn’t have a single scorer above 11.
“If we can’t look ourselves in the mirror and recognize that we’ve got some problems that we need to address fast, ” Head Coach Hank Plona said. “If tonight (Thursday night) doesn’t teach you that, I don’t know what will.”
Plona and his team will look to rebound against LA Tech which is coming off of an 11-point win over Middle Tennessee State. Junior guard Sean Newman Jr. led the Bulldogs with 23 against the Blue Raiders.
Redshirt Senior forward Daniel Batcho leads the team in scoring, averaging 17.6 a game while also leading the team in rebounds with 6.5.
The Bulldogs come to Bowling Green 7-7 in the conference and seventh in Conference USA.
“We’re gonna keep going and give it everything we’ve got now,” Plona said.
Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. at Diddle Arena. The theme for the game is Tennessee Titans night. Fans can enter to win an autographed Jeffery Simmons jersey.
