WKU students and Bowling Green residents gathered for Ash Wednesday mass at St. Joseph’s Church in Bowling Green.
Ash Wednesday is a Catholic holiday celebrated annually to begin the Lenten season where Catholics commit themselves to prayer, fasting and almsgiving. The 40 days of observation symbolize Jesus’ 40 days of fasting in the desert and conclude with Easter.
