After a 1-2 start to conference play, WKU Softball will return to non-conference play hosting Ole Miss at the WKU Softball Complex Tuesday, March 11.
WKU secured one win in its three-game Conference USA opening series last weekend at Sam Houston State. Despite its two-game losing streak, WKU is looking to extend its 7-2 home record.
Standout Hilltoppers of last weekend include freshman outfielder Kennedy Stinson and freshman right-handed pitcher Erica Houge. Stinsonโs clutch three-RBI double in game one secured WKUโs lone win of the weekend. Also in game one, Houge subbed in at pitcher in the bottom of the eighth, and she allowed no more SHSU runs in the game.
WKU last fell to Ole Miss in April 2024. The Rebels currently hold a 20-4 record. Some key Ole Miss players include senior catcher/utility player Lexie Brady and freshman left-handed pitcher/utility player Persy Llamas.
In 2024, Brady led the Rebels in home runs (13) and on-base percentage (.436). She also caught 14 runners stealing which was the most in the Southeastern Conference. This season, she leads Ole Miss in batting average (.396), slugging percentage (.887), home runs (seven) and total bases (47).

The first pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11.
