After dropping its third conference series at the University of Texas at El Paso this past weekend, WKU Softball will look to bounce back against the University of Louisville at home Tuesday.
WKU went 1-2 at UTEP March 21-23. The Hilltoppers now have a 15-13 overall record and a 2-6 conference record.
Despite WKU dropping the UTEP series, sophomore designated hitter Maci Masters broke two single-game program records for RBIs (eight) and home runs (three) in the Hilltoppersโ lone win of the weekend on Saturday.
Louisville defeated WKU in the teamโs last game in Feb. 2024. The Cardinals are 19-12 on the season and 3-6 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Some key Louisville players include redshirt freshman utility player Char Lorenz and junior outfielder Chelsea Mack.
Lorenz leads Louisville in home runs (six) and RBIs (42). She also holds a perfect fielding percentage. Mack leads the team in batting average with .430 and stolen bases (15).
The first pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
