WKU Softball will face Louisiana Tech March 28-30, looking for its first Conference USA series win.
The Hilltoppers are 15-14 on the season and have a two-game losing streak. WKU went 1-2 at the University of Texas at El Paso March 21-23 and fell to the University of Louisville at home on March 25.
Despite the losses, sophomore designated hitter Maci Masters set the single-game program records for RBIs (eight) and home runs (three) in WKU’s solo win against UTEP. Masters leads the team in total bases (56), home runs (eight) and RBIs (25).
WKU won 10-6 against LA Tech during the last matchup in the 2024 CUSA tournament. The Bulldogs are 20-11 on the season and 7-2 in CUSA.
Some key players include redshirt senior shortstop Nicole Hammoude and senior infielder Claire Raley. Hammoude leads LA Tech in batting average (.422), doubles (six) and is tied with Raley for most RBIs (26). Raley leads the Bulldogs in runs scored (30) and total bases (64).
The first pitch is set for 6 p.m. Friday.
