WKU Softball will ride its first Conference USA series win into a Tuesday game at Lipscomb University.
The Hilltoppers went 2-1 against Louisiana Tech March 28-29. WKU’s 8-0 victory on Friday marked its third shutout win and first CUSA shutout win in 2025. The Hilltoppers are 17-15 overall and 4-7 in CUSA.
WKU last faced Lipscomb in April 2024 and fell 4-3. The Bisons are coming off an Atlantic Sun Conference series sweep against Bellarmine University. Lipscomb is 18-16 overall and 5-4 in the Gold Division of the ASUN.
Some standout Lipscomb players include sophomore utility player Alyssa Hastings and redshirt senior pitcher Laine Barefoot.
Hastings earned this week’s ASUN Player of the Week. She leads the Bisons offensively with a .392 batting average, 40 hits, 31 RBIs and 14 doubles. Barefoot holds the lowest ERA of Lipscomb pitchers with a 3.81. She’s pitched a total of 93.2 innings and struck out 43 batters this season.
The first pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m.
