WKU Baseball will travel to New Mexico State University for a three-game Conference USA series this weekend, May 9-11.
The Hilltoppers come into the weekend with a 14-7 conference record, third in CUSA.
WKU is coming off a series sweep against the LA Tech Bulldogs, where the Hilltoppers outscored them 36-24.
Redshirt junior Carlos Vasquez earned CUSA Player of the Week for his performance in the series. Vasquez went 9-17 through the week with three doubles, seven RBIs and scored five runs.
NMSU is currently on a four-game losing streak after losing 6-2 to #24 Arizona, two losses this past weekend against Kennesaw State and a 13-6 midweek loss to Texas Tech.
The Aggies carry a .290 team batting average, the third highest in CUSA, but have a 7.45 ERA, which is the second highest in CUSA.
The Hilltoppers hold a .313 team batting average, the highest in CUSA, and hold a 3.09 team ERA, the lowest in the conference.
The series will start on Friday at 7 p.m. and continue on Saturday, starting at 5 p.m, closing out on Sunday at 12 p.m.
